Hakim & Asuman
Sorry for taking forever to post...this is the first time in several weeks that I've even been able to make it into blogger, which has made posting rather difficult.These two guys are Hakim and Asuman (respectively). They are two Muslim students that I met during the Fresher's Welcome (when all the freshmen move onto campus). They are government-sponsored (ie full scholarship courtesy of the government) students and therefore were supposed to be guaranteed rooms on campus. They arrived on campus only to find out that they were amongst a handful of government-sponsored freshers who didn't have on campus housing. As they had no where to stay, I let them stay with me a couple of days until they were able to find a room.
I had been praying for opportunities to build relationships with new students, and while this was certainly not what I had expected it was a great opportunity (a better one in fact). Please pray as I attempt to further build a relationship with these two guys and share the gospel with them.

are you driving that toyota truck in the background of that picture with the guys? it may be the same one that i drove, the 'monster'. it would be good and old by now. when i drove it, it had quite a few mechanical probs. there may be no way to know if it's the same truck as i imagine they have a lot of toyota trucks. i also drove a silver nissan truck and a green rav4 but only for a bit. i mostly had the toyota and the nissan. guess this is all for now. keep up the good work. take care and God bless. will be praying for you.
Wow, that was (and still is) a really great opprotunity. I mean really, what better way to form a bond than living with them for a few days? Hope things continue to go well.
